Equilíbrio has always been built by the people who love it. Here's how you can be one of them.
Every fence post we set, every tree we plant, every structure we raise, every art installation embedded into this land — it takes hands. Yours, ours, everyone's.
Every year, a small, lean team makes the world go round on this land. We rely on volunteers to help build it, run it, and bring it back to rest. And we invite co-creators to fill it with magic — their music, their workshops, their art, their presence.
This is not a money-making thing. Everything generated at Equilíbrio goes back into the arts, the land, and the next edition. We do this because we believe something good is possible when people show up for something bigger than themselves.
Volunteering at Equilíbrio is one of the most grounding things you can do. It's not service — it's belonging.
Our volunteers are the operational backbone of the festival. Everything from constructing the land and welcoming people on arrival to running the bar, keeping the site clean, and supporting artists. Skills of all kinds are welcome — and many of our most devoted community members first found their place here by showing up to work.
The experience
itself.
Volunteer places are limited. Selections will be communicated by email in late August or early September. The Equilíbrio community is full of creators and given the short span of our gathering, choices will need to be made. We thank you for understanding and respecting the process.
Everything that happens at Equilíbrio is co-created. A spontaneous performance. A workshop someone felt called to offer. An installation that becomes part of the memory of a place.
We remain open to unexpected submissions. If you feel something rising — an idea, a craft, a practice — please share it with intention and clarity. We welcome you with no attachment.
Three areas of co-creation
Whatever you bring needs to connect to at least two pillars. Meditation here is active — dancing, walking, dynamic movement all count.
From the last edition
Vaila arrived with poems — carefully chosen texts and original writing — and created a living installation among the oak trees on the lake. Scrolls hung from branches. Words rested in the dry grass, waiting to be found. Quietly extraordinary.
That's what co-creation can look like here. Not a stage. Just someone, something they made, a tree, and an experience that stays with people.
These paths are not exclusive.
Choose what feels true.
Take your time. There are no wrong answers, only yours.
